JANUARY 2023 CHLORINE PRODUCTION
In January, the European chlorine production stood at 580,981 tonnes. With 18,741 tonnes, the January 2023 average daily production was 13.1% higher than in the previous month (December 2022: 16,573 tonnes), but 31.8% lower than in January 2022 (27,482 tonnes).
With 290,660 tonnes, the January 2023 caustic soda stocks were 12.9% higher than in the previous month (December 2022: 257,368 tonnes) and 64,167 tonnes above the level of January 2022 (226,493 tonnes).
The following tables give the details of chlorine production and caustic soda stocks in the EU-27 countries plus Norway, Switzerland, and the UK in January 2023.
