Chloro Alkanes group to attend international conference
The Euro Chlor chlorinated alkane product group is to present at the upcoming 3rd International Conference on Chloro Alkanes that will take place on 29 November 2018 in New Delhi, India.
Organised by the Chemtech Foundation, the event will build on previous events in Beijing and Brussels in developing the international support for these substances. With input from Indian producers as well as users of these substances discussions on the business and regulatory situation surrounding these versatile chemicals will take place.
Chlorinated alkanes (also called chlorinated paraffins) are found as a secondary plasticiser in PVC where they impart fire retardant and flexibility properties. They are also found as machine-protecting additives in metal working fluids and in water/ heat resistant paints.
As authorities often misunderstand the complexities surrounding the composition of chlorinated alkanes, this event will discuss ways in which international chlorinated alkane producers can work together to educate and encourage the safe and correct use of these substances.
Euro Chlor’s product group will provide their expertise in sessions on the business and regulatory situation in Europe. They will also provide an insight into advances in analytical methods that will help authorities to better understand chlorinated alkanes.
Registration is still underway via the Chemtech website.
