Covestro implements new technology for MDI production

Click here to take a look at member company Covestro's announcement about its new pilot plant to produce the rigid foam component MDI based on the adiabatic-isothermal phosgenation (AdiP) technology at its Brunsbüttel site. This production process significantly reduces energy consumption and CO₂ emissions in MDI production. MDI is a raw material that uses chlorine as a catalyst to produce energy-efficient insulation solutions for buildings and refrigerating devices.
