BorsodChem donates money, 10,000 litres of hypo and 10,000 masks
BorsodChem, based in Kazincbarcika, Hungary, has taken several measures to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, notably to protect the health of workers and guarantee safe operations. These will be further strengthened and continuously expanded as necessary. As a responsible employer, BorsodChem is also committed to helping the local communities in the following ways.
The company has supported the procurement of special equipment for the Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County Central Hospital and the University Educating Hospital with a donation of 15 million HUF (some 43,000 Euros), and the operation of the Kazincbarcika town hospital with a donation of 5 million HUF (14,200 Euros). BorsodChem has also donated nearly 10,000 litres of its own-produced hypo-solution for disinfection purposes to health and social care institutions and the surrounding municipalities in order to mitigate the risks caused by the epidemic. In addition, BorsodChem has so far donated close to 10,000 pieces of mouth masks to the municipalities of the settlements that host the company’s industrial sites and their key partners.
