New membrane facility starts up in Sweden

Euro Chlor member company, INOVYN has started chlor-alkali production at their new membrane chlorine cellroom at their Stenungsund facility in Sweden.

Initial production took place following successful commissioning of the new plant in mid-January 2019.

Filipe Constant, Business Director for INOVYN noted “We are delighted to announce the completion of this major investment as part of the continued sustainable growth of INOVYN.”

The plant has converted from mercury-based chlor-alkali production as part of the Europe-wide phase out of this technology under the EU Industrial Emissions Directive.
