Vynova opens potassium hydroxide plant in Belgium
Vynova Group has opened a new, state-of-the-art potassium hydroxide (KOH) membrane electrolysis facility in Tessenderlo, Belgium. Part of conversion works which concluded in April 2018, the 65 million euro project is part of a larger investment programme of more than 100 million euros at the site.
Vynova sits within the International Chemical Investors Group (ICIG) and their new KOH facility now employs membrane technology, meaning a major step forwards in sustainability and energy efficiency.
Luc Leunis, Vynova Executive Vice President Monomers Operations noted “We are very pleased with the flawless execution of this world-scale investment. The new facility enables us to produce a top-quality product that is fit for demanding applications, for example in the food and pharmaceuticals industry”.
