Euro Chlor welcomes KEM ONE on board

Speaking during the recent Euro Chlor Management Committee in the organization’s Brussels headquarters, Pierre Fauvarque, Director of Sales and Supply Chain, KEM ONE, said, “We are looking forward to working with Euro Chlor to strengthen our safety practices as this is the primary thing for us.  We are also enthusiastic to be working together with our industry peers to address big challenges such as energy and product stewardship.”

Welcoming Pierre to his first Management Committee meeting, Euro Chlor Executive Director, Dolf van Wijk, said, “It is great to have KEM ONE on the Euro Chlor team, working with us to support a safe, sustainable and successful chlor-alkali industry in Europe.”
Euro Chlor Chairman Dieter Schnepel added, “Strengthening the industry’s ability to speak with one voice is important for us to meet the challenges ahead and to ensure the success of the wider European manufacturing sector that relies on our products.”  

During the meeting, the Management Committee discussed a range of subjects including the safe permanent disposal of mercury from production processes, plans for September’s General Assembly in Bordeaux, the energy challenge facing European industries.

There was also a roundtable discussion as to how the industry can work together to develop and promote safety best practice.
