German member Vinnolit to expand in Bavaria

German PVC manufacturer and Euro Chlor member Vinnolit is expanding its chlorine and vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) capacities at its Gendorf site.

Using modern, energy-efficient chlorine membrane technologies, the latest site investment will help supply other local manufacturers in Bavaria.

In addition, VCM capacity will be expanded in two steps before 2021. This will help to reduce the amount of VCM that is transported long-distances.

Vinnolit, part of Westlake Chemical, produces the PVC intermediates chlorine and VCM at its sites in Gendorf and Knapsack.
