In August, the European chlorine production stood at 828,694 tonnes. With 26,732 tonnes, the August average daily production was nearly equal to the one of the previous month (July 2016: 26,731 tonnes), but 1% higher than in August 2015 (26,457 tonnes).

ECSA New Guidance on Storage and Handling for Chlorinated Solvents

The European Chlorinated Solvent Association (ECSA) has released a new edition of the Guidance on Storage and Handling of Chlorinated Solvents. It is intended to help distributors and users of chlorinated solvents to handle those products safely and with care. Special attention has been given to modern equipment in storage as well as to cleaning machines.

In February, the European chlorine production reached 794,485 tonnes. With 27,396 tonnes, the February average daily production was 3.6% above the level of the previous month (January 2016: 26,450 tonnes), but 0.7% lower than in February 2015 (27,586 tonnes).
