Wouter Bleukx (INOVYN), New Euro Chlor Chairman

Wouter Bleukx, the Business Unit Manager for Chlor Alkali at INOVYN, is the new Chairman of Euro Chlor. Voted in at the Euro Chlor General Assembly on 11 September 2020, Dr. Bleukx will hold the position of Chairman of the Management Committee of Euro Chlor for the next two years.

Dr. Bleukx has over 20 years of experience in the chemicals sector with expertise in Vinyls, Chlorine Derivatives, Feed Ingredients and Supply Chain Management. He is Belgian and holds a Ph.D. from K.U. Leuven.

During the Euro Chlor General Assembly, Dr. Bleukx praised the work of outgoing Chair, Dr. Jürgen Baune (Nouryon), who has been instrumental in preparing the Euro Chlor Mid-Century Strategy. As part of his tenure, Dr. Bleukx has promised to focus on further improving safety within Euro Chlor plants and the chlor-alkali supply chain, implementing the Mid-Century Strategy and optimising the flow of information to Euro Chlor members on EU policy developments.
